Akauntants
About

Built in the Philippines,
for the Philippines.

Accounting software made by people who lived through the problems it solves.

Who we are

Akauntants is a group of accountants and developers working remotely from across the Philippines — Cebu, Davao, Manila, Iloilo, and a few islands in between.

We built it because we lived through the problem. Every accounting tool we tried was built for somewhere else. BIR compliance was an afterthought or a paid add-on. GCash integration was missing. The help documentation assumed you understood GAAP. The interface used terminology nobody here actually used.

So we built what we wished existed: an accounting system that treats Philippine tax compliance as a first-class feature, that works on a phone with patchy signal, that speaks to business owners in plain language, and that can work with your CPA instead of replacing them.

We are not a large company. We move deliberately. We answer support tickets personally. Every feature request gets read by a human. Every complaint gets taken seriously.

We believe the Philippines deserves accounting software built for it — not adapted for it.

Our principles

01

Simple over complete.

We will not add a feature because competitors have it. We will add a feature when a real Filipino business owner tells us they need it and we understand why.

02

BIR compliance is not optional.

Every Philippine business needs to file taxes. We treat compliance as infrastructure, not a premium feature. Basic BIR compliance is on every plan.

03

AI should work quietly.

We don't add AI to look impressive. We add it when it saves real time — scanning receipts, matching bank transactions, pre-filling BIR forms. If you don't notice it, we've done it right.

04

The owner runs the business. We run the books.

Akauntants is designed for the business owner who is not an accountant. Every decision we make asks: would someone without an accounting degree understand this?

The team

We're a small, remote team of accountants and engineers. We don't have a headquarters. We have a group chat, a shared mission, and a belief that the Philippines deserves better software.

Team photos and individual profiles coming soon. In the meantime — if you'd like to join us, we're hiring.
